Westfield Soccer Association

Westfield Soccer Association aka "The WSA"

The Westfield Soccer Association (WSA) operates one of the largest soccer clubs in the State of New Jersey and provides several different programs for over 2,400 children, regardless of their skill level, to participate and enjoy the worlds most played sport.

The Fun of Soccer and Recreation programs are open to Westfield residents, girls and boys, in pre-K though 3rd grade. The various Rec programs currently have over 1,200 players.

The Intercounty program is a cooperative recreational soccer program based in central New Jersey whose primary goal is to foster competitive soccer while encouraging participation by as many children as possible. The overall objective of Intercounty Soccer is maximum participation with even competition at all age levels. Westfield currently has over 30 boys and girls teams in the U9, U11, U13, U15 and High School (U19) divisions and matches are played in the fall and/or spring.

Tryouts for the Travel Program are open to girls and boys starting at U9 and go into HS. We currently have over 40 teams competing in the Mid New Jersey Youth Soccer Association. Soccer matches are played in both the fall and spring.

Union County FC is the regions premier soccer program.  It provides premier players a unique opportunity to train, play and develop in one of the top soccer environments in New Jersey. UCFC is sponsored by the Westfield Soccer Association, one of the largest soccer clubs in NJ and rich in soccer tradition.

WSA General Membership Meetings

WSA general membership meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of each month at 8pm. The location is the Knights of Columbus at 2400 North Avenue in Scotch Plains (next to Charlie Browns).

Financial Assistance

The Westfield Soccer Association believes that every child should have the opportunity to participate in the world’s greatest game and is pleased to announce that through the generous donations offered by the families in our program, scholarships are available for all WSA programs to any Westfield family in need.

All requests for financial assistance are treated in strict confidence and can be made though any member of the WSA Board or parent coach/team manager. All requests are treated as private matters and there is no questioning of the request for assistance. The WSA only asks that each family assume some responsibility for the cost of registration and equipment by volunteering their time to the WSA.

If you are aware of a family that is not participating in soccer for financial reasons, please let them know that financial assistance is available, or call any WSA Director.
